How the Instructor Booking Service will work

⚠️ OBS Maintenance Update – 11 May

The Online Booking Service (OBS) will be unavailable from 6pm on Monday 11 May while updates are made to the new driving test booking rules coming into effect on 12 May.

Key changes for car test bookings:• You will no longer be able to swap or change car test bookings you have made•

Make sure your pupil has their booking reference number• Update booking email addresses to your pupil’s email address

Other important information:•

Changes only affect car driving tests• All other test bookings (bike, lorry, ADI etc.) will continue as normal• New OBS terms and conditions will go live at 6am on 12 May and must be accepted before continuing to use the system

You will still be able to:

• Set your availability• View existing car bookings• Book other test types• Manage payments and business statements

• Send requests to DVSA

Pre-funded accounts:If you use a pre-funded account for car tests, you’ll need to wait until all booked tests are completed before requesting closure and a refund of remaining funds.
